The slope of the site and the intention to minimise earthworks shape the final configuration of the project. Following the contour lines, the house is anchored longitudinally to the terrain through a series of stepped volumes that create a subtle interplay of shifts.

The proposal is consistent with the planning framework and the urban model. It envisages a compact building between party walls, with two opposing façades: one facing the street and the other the interior of the block. The design is expressed with formal restraint, avoiding unnecessary gestures, and with a clear intention to be realistic and economically sustainable.

The design proposes a single-family house on a narrow plot, a condition that clearly shapes both the organization and development of the architectural scheme. This constraint requires an efficient use of space, placing the garden at the rear of the plot and reserving the street façade primarily for pedestrian access.

Cabrils • Maresme • 2023

The dwelling is located on a plot with a gentle slope, in an elevated position relative to the municipality of Cabrils, allowing it to enjoy privileged views over a pine forest, through which the sea can be glimpsed.

The proposed works consist of the refurbishment and extension of an existing detached single-family dwelling, based on the premise of respecting and integrating the original architectural language of the building.
